HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Harrisonburg City Council honored the life of former Harrisonburg councilmember and mayor Rodney Eagle during last night’s meeting. 

Eagle served on the City Council from 1996 through 2000 and again from 2004 through 2006, and he served as Mayor three times during his City Council tenure. 

Mayor Deanna Reed read the proclamation which honored Eagle’s service and achievements. 

“And whereas Rodney’s dedication, professionalism, and enthusiasm will be greatly missed by
City employees, elected officials, and the citizens he served,” said Mayor Reed.

The proclamation ended with the City Council extending gratitude to him and his family for his dedication and contributions to the City of Harrisonburg.
