MOUNT JACKSON, VA (Rocktown Now) — A Mount Jackson man has been arrested on 2 counts of child pornography charges after the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office received an online cyber tip on September 11, 2026, from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding an online account discussing sexual abuse of children and the potential sharing of the images.

42-year-old Jeremy Michael Litten of Mount Jackson, VA was identified as the alleged suspect in this investigation.

According to Shenandoah County Sheriff Tim Carter, on September 22, 2026, the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant in the 2000 block of Crooked Run Road, Mount Jackson, VA.

Deputies arrested Litten for:

  • Possession of child pornography
  • Possession/Reproduce child pornography with intent to distribute

Litten was arrested and transported to the Rappahannock Shenandoah Warren (RSW) Regional Jail where he was held without bond.
