RICHMOND, Va – Governor Glenn Youngkin announced Tuesday afternoon that he will deliver his State of the Commonwealth address at 4 pm in Richmond.

The speech comes on the same day the 2024 regular session begins in the General Assembly.

The governor unveiled his budget plan a few weeks ago and it includes income tax cuts, an increase in the state sales tax and a repeal of the car tax.

Meanwhile, West Virginia Governor Jim Justice will give his state of the state address Wednesday night at seven.

That is also on the same day as the legislative session begins in Charleston.
