RICHMOND VA: (WSVA) – Gas prices in Virginia are down four cents per gallon in the last seven days and begin the new work week averaging $2-93 a gallon.

That is according to a GasBuddy survey of nealry 4,100 gas stations in the commonwealth. Gas prices in Virginia are now 12 cents lower than a month ago.

Meanwhile, prices in the Harrisonburg market range between $2.85 and $2.99 for a gallon of regular.

Nationally, prices fell nearly four cents per gallon in the last week to an average of $3.03, which is a drop of more than 12 cents from a month ago.

The national average price of diesel is down five-and-a-half cents in the last week, stabilizing at $3.90 per gallon.
