SHENANDOAH COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Former Shenandoah County Commonwealth’s Attorney Amanda McDonald Wiseley has had her law license suspended by the Virginia State Bar.
According to an email on Monday from the Virginia State Bar Office of the Clerk of the Disciplinary System, Wiseley had her law license suspended for five years, effective last Friday, following her conviction of misusing public funds while in office.
The State Bar Disciplinary Board imposed the suspension.
Wiseley, who lives in Strasburg, pleaded guilty in Shenandoah County Circuit Court earlier this year to a pair of felony charges, including taking more than a thousand dollars of public funds for personal use and for making false statements on her Virginia state tax returns.
