BRIDGEWATER, Va. (BC Athletics) – The No. 25 ranked Bridgewater women’s volleyball team took down Roanoke in straight sets for the ninth match win in a row Wednesday night.

How It Happened
• The Eagles got the ball rolling as Maya Veselinovic kicked off the action with a quick attack to start the opening set. BC then pushed a four-point run to claim the lead. The Eagles continued to apply added pressure while Maecy Ann Frizzelle fired two kills back-to-back. Reagan Stoop ended the set with a monstrous swing for a 25-19 set score.
• In the second set, BC commanded momentum the entire way. The Eagles ignited a massive 12-point streak as Claire Griffith and Stoop found open hardwood. The Maroons ran into offensive misfires resulting in a comfortable hold for the lead and the set at 25-12.
• The Eagles jumped out to another steady push after trading sideouts to begin the third set. Soon after, BC ripped off a five-point burst for a 14-11 advantage. Olivia Mason and Griffith paired up to smack four of the last five points of the match as Mason signaled the final say for the closing point with a 25-20 set score.

• The Eagles bested the Maroons in points (53), kills (41), aces (six), assists (41) and digs (50).
• Reagan Stoop led the match with 15 kills.
• Bridgewater totaled 10 block assists.
• Lindsay Kelley posted 20 assists, five service aces and nine digs.
