HARRISONBURG VA: (Rocktown Now) – A dry cold front will move through the Shenandoah Valley this morning, bringing a shift to west and northwest winds of 10 to 15 mph, with gusts reaching 20 to 25 mph and isolated gusts near 30 mph in the higher elevations. Despite the frontal passage, today will remain unusually warm. Down sloping winds are expected to boost temperatures into the upper 70s, with some locations approaching 80 degrees. Dry weather continues Friday under high pressure, with temperatures settling back closer to seasonal averages. Looking ahead, the remnants of Tropical Storm Isaias are expected to arrive late this weekend, bringing the next chance for changes in the weather. Depending on it’s track, we could be in for a scattered showers to a good amount of rain.
