PAGE COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Fall is here in Page County, and Fairview Fun Farm has opened its gates for another season of pumpkins, hayrides, outdoor activities and family-friendly fun.

Located at 316 Fairview Road in Luray, the farm will be open for the 2026 season until Nov. 1. The farm is open to the public Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., while weekdays are reserved for field trips, special events and private parties.

Admission is $10 per person, with children 2 and younger admitted free. Admission includes access to the pumpkin patch and the farm’s activities, while pumpkins are sold separately.

More than a pumpkin patch

While choosing a pumpkin remains at the heart of the Fairview Fun Farm experience, the property offers plenty of activities designed to turn a visit into a full day of fall entertainment.

Visitors can pick their own pumpkins from the field, with wagons and cutting shears available, or select a pre-picked pumpkin from the farm’s gift shop. Pumpkins picked from the field are sold by the pound, while pre-picked pumpkins are priced individually.

The farm’s activities also include hayrides, barrel train rides, pond fishing, a sunflower field, photo opportunities and a variety of outdoor play areas. The hayride offers views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and includes a scavenger hunt for riders.

Children can spend time exploring the farm’s play areas while families can enjoy the seasonal atmosphere and mountain scenery.

The farm also works with local vendors during the season, giving visitors opportunities to purchase food and treats while supporting small businesses in the area.

A family farm grows into a fall destination

Fairview Fun Farm grew from a family farm owned by Gary Breeden and Darlene Anderson, lifelong Page County residents.

According to the farm, Breeden purchased and expanded the 94-acre property off Fairview Road in 2015. After spending time working the hay fields, the owners began envisioning ways to share the property with visitors while keeping it agricultural land.

The idea for a pumpkin patch came in 2019, and Fairview Fun Farm was established in 2020 after the owners and others worked to create the play area and fall attraction.

Today, the farm describes its goal as providing families with opportunities to experience farm life while enjoying outdoor activities and the scenery of the Shenandoah Valley.

A place to slow down and enjoy the season

Fairview Fun Farm encourages visitors to allow at least three hours to experience the property and its activities.

That makes the farm more than a quick stop to pick up a pumpkin. Families can spend the day riding through the property, exploring the farm, taking photos, playing outdoors and searching for the right pumpkin to take home.

The mountain setting adds another element to the experience, particularly as the leaves begin changing across the region.

Planning a visit

Fairview Fun Farm recommends visitors dress appropriately for an outdoor farm environment and plan for changing fall weather.

For families looking for a traditional fall outing, the combination of pumpkin picking, mountain views and hands-on farm activities offers a chance to make the most of the season — with plenty of opportunities for children and adults alike to create their own autumn memories.
