HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — UVA Health hosted a grand opening event yesterday for its expanded UVA Pediatrics Harrisonburg clinic with extended hours to improve access to care for families in the Harrisonburg region.

Becky Compton is the Chief Operating Officer for the UVA Physicians Group, and she says they are merging their Harrisonburg and McGaheysville practices to be in a single building.

“This facility is giving us the opportunity to expand the practice opportunity for pediatric, behavioral health therapy, and other sub-specials as well as they come from the University of Virginia to provide care in Rockingham County,” Compton said.

The clinic will be open six days a week at its location at 4165 Quarles Court in Harrisonburg.
