HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Rockingham Harrisonburg SPCA (RHSPCA) is partnering with The Center Yoga Collective for two donation-based yoga classes on Friday, November 6, and Saturday, November 7.

100% of proceeds from both classes will directly support the animals at the RHSPCA.

According to RHSPCA Director of Development Sara Stone, the inspiration behind this partnership came from one of RHSPCA’s dedicated volunteers, who is also a yoga teacher. By connecting two organizations and two passions, this volunteer helped create an opportunity for community members to give back while enjoying the benefits of yoga.

“This is community kindness in action,” said Stone. “One of our wonderful volunteers saw an opportunity to bring together two things they love: yoga and animal welfare. What started as a simple idea has become a meaningful way for people to connect, give back, and support animals in need. It’s a beautiful reminder that you don’t have to work at a shelter to make a difference. Sometimes, you just have to bring people together.”
