HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — One of the two suspects connected with a shooting in Harrisonburg back in the Spring appeared before a grand jury.

Online records indicate that all three charges against 18-year-old Kaijhan Corbin were returned from a grand jury during a hearing Monday afternoon. Among the charges, include two counts of malicious assault.

Those charges stemmed from an incident on May 13th in Ralph Sampson Park in which shots were allegedly fired and two people were injured.

A 17-year-old juvenile was also arrested for his role in the incident.

Corbin is scheduled to return to court on October 13th for a hearing to set either a plea date or a trial date.

Corbin remains held at the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Regional Jail.
