RICHMOND, VA (Rocktown Now) — Governor Abigail Spanberger has ordered flags at half-staff on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in memory and respect of Delegate Floyd H. Miles Sr. of Charles City County.

Governor Spanberger said, “Floyd Miles Sr. was a lifelong, devoted public servant who dutifully served the people of Charles City County as a member of the Board of Supervisors and in our General Assembly. During his time in office, he championed improvements in agriculture, education, natural resources, and infrastructure. His more than 26 years of public service have left a lasting legacy of leadership, service, and dedication for which the Commonwealth is grateful.”

Flags should be lowered on Saturday, August 15, 2026, and remain at half-staff until sunset.
