HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Harrisonburg City Public Schools announced new leaders for the 2026-27 school year at Tuesday night’s school board meeting.

Dr. Lillian Guzlowski – Principal, Bluestone Elementary School
Dr. Lillian Guzlowski will be the incoming principal at Bluestone Elementary.  Dr. Guzlowski comes to HCPS from the Lynchburg area, where she has served in multiple leadership roles, including Assistant Principal at E.C. Glass High School, Principal at Linkhorne Elementary, and most recently as the Supervisor for Secondary Literacy and Libraries in Lynchburg City Schools.  Additionally, Dr. Guzlowski brings with her ten years of teaching experience as a high school English teacher. 

Callie Randolph – Assistant Principal, Rocktown High School
Ms. Callie Randolph continues with HCPS as the new Assistant Principal at Rocktown High School. She spent 11 years with HCPS as a Family and Consumer Science teacher at Skyline Middle School, where she also served as the school’s Athletic Director. She holds both a Bachelor of Agricultural Science and a Master’s degree in Agriculture and Life Science from Virginia Tech. She earned her certificate of Educational Leadership from Longwood University in 2023. 

Joseph Rogucki – Assistant Principal, Skyline Middle School
Mr. Joseph Rogucki will take on the role as a new Assistant Principal at Skyline Middle School. With 17 years of experience in education, Mr. Rogucki brings a strong background in both classroom instruction and school leadership. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Adolescent/Young Adult Physical Education from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Jennifer Burner – Assistant Principal, Harrisonburg High School
Ms. Jennifer Burner continues with HCPS as an Assistant Principal at Harrisonburg High School. A veteran educator with over 20 years of experience, Burner previously served as Assistant Principal at HHS from 2020 to 2023 and most recently as Principal of Ashby-Lee Elementary School. She holds a Bachelor’s and Leadership Certificate from James Madison University, a Master’s from Averett University, and an ESL certification.

Dr. Kiristen Robinson – Athletic Director, Harrisonburg High School
Dr. Kiristen Robinson, Ph.D., CMAA, will be the new Director of Athletics at Harrisonburg High School. Dr. Robinson brings over a decade of experience in education, coaching, and athletic administration, most recently serving as Director of Athletics at Edison High School in Minneapolis. She holds a Doctorate in Health and Human Performance from Concordia University Chicago, a Master’s in Educational Curriculum from Central Michigan University, and a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. Additionally, she serves on the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) Awards Committee.

Phillip Mark Mace – Athletic Director,  Rocktown High School
Phillip Mark Mace will be the new Athletic Director at Rocktown High School. Mace joins Rocktown High with three decades of experience in education, school administration, and athletic leadership. Having previously served HCPS as a teacher and coach at Harrisonburg High School, he also brings high school and collegiate coaching experience, along with seven years as an Athletic Director and Assistant Principal. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Mennonite University and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.

Isaiah Dottin Carter – Dean of Students, Skyline Middle School
Mr. Isaiah Dottin-Carter continues with HCPS as the Dean of Students at Skyline Middle School. Mr. Dottin-Carter has been a dedicated member of HCPS since 2017, serving most recently as the Restorative Practices Coordinator. In addition to his leadership in restorative justice, Isaiah brings a wealth of experience in student support and athletics, including his work coaching football and track and field. Mr. Dottin-Carter earned his B.S. in Sociology from James Madison University and his M.A. in Restorative Justice from Eastern Mennonite University.

Brandon Burley – Assistant Principal, Thomas Harrison Middle School
Mr. Brandon Burley continues with HCPS as an Assistant Principal at Thomas Harrison Middle School. Mr. Burley joins THMS with extensive experience in educational leadership and instruction. Most recently, he served as the Athletic Director at Harrisonburg High School from 2018 to 2026. His prior experience includes serving as Athletic Director and a Special Education teacher in Rappahannock County Public Schools, as well as a Special Education teacher in Powhatan County Public Schools. Mr. Burley holds a B.S. and an MAT in Special Education from Liberty University, along with an Administration and Supervision Endorsement from Averett University.

Peter Norment – Secondary Language Arts Coordinator, Central Office 
Mr. Peter Norment continues with HCPS as the Secondary Language Arts Coordinator for the division. Mr. Norment has been a dedicated HCPS team member since 2006, most recently serving as Principal at Bluestone Elementary from 2020 to 2026. Prior to his principalship, he served as an Assistant Principal at Bluestone Elementary and as a teacher at Harrisonburg High School. Mr. Norment earned his degrees in Secondary Education and Educational Leadership from James Madison University.

Sharon Salinas Morales – Assistant Director of Human Resources
Sharon Salinas will be the Assistant Director of Human Resources for Harrisonburg City Public Schools. Ms. Salinas previously served as the Family and School Liaison at Waterman Elementary School and brings a diverse background in international management, workforce development, and higher education communications. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Restorative Justice in Education from Eastern Mennonite University, where she completed her coursework for a Master’s Degree in Education, and serves on the boards of Bridge of Hope and the Shenandoah Valley Immigrant Resource Center.

Geoff Estes – Career and Technical Education Supervisor
Mr. Geoff Estes continues with HCPS as the new Career and Technical Education Supervisor. Mr. Estes brings a wealth of experience in education, having most recently served as the CTE Department Chair at both  Rocktown and Harrisonburg High Schools from 2022 to 2026. His extensive educational background includes serving as a Computer Science, Mathematics, and Robotics Instructor, serving as Co-Director of the Governor’s STEM Academy, and serving as Principal of Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School from 2005 to 2008. Additionally, he has served as adjunct faculty at James Madison University, Eastern Mennonite University, and Blue Ridge Community College. Mr. Estes holds an Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction – Integrative STEM Education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, an M.Ed. and B.S.Ed. in Mathematics Education from the University of Georgia, and an A.A. in Mathematics and Science from Norwalk Community College.

Jeron Baker – Executive Director of Human Resources
Jeron Baker will be the division’s new Executive Director of Human Resources. Serving as Assistant Director of HR for HCPS since 2022, Jeron brings 20 years of progressive experience in educational leadership, HR systems, data management, and strategic planning. Prior to his time in HCPS HR leadership, he served as Senior Assistant Director for the Virginia College Advising Corps (now AdviseVA) at UVA and worked extensively in higher education administration and program evaluation. Mr. Baker holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from James Madison University and a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Goshen College.
