AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Engineering and bridgework operations could slow traffic this week in Augusta County.
Brian Baer from the Virginia Department of Transportation says the first project kicking off today, Monday, is on Route 11/Lee Jackson Highway.
“Expect northbound right shoulder closures for traffic engineering between Route 1403/Second Street and Route 1402/First Street. That daytime work will continue through Friday,” Baer says.
Meanwhile this week on Route 256/Weyers Cave Road, Baer says drivers should watch for eastbound and westbound flagger traffic control during the day between Route 772/Sulfur Pump Road and Route 864/Rockfish Road for bridge work. The project is also scheduled to be completed by Friday.
