Flags in the commonwealth are at half-staff again today, this time in commemoration of the University of Virginia shooting victims who were killed and injured one year ago yesterday.
In a release, Governor Glenn Youngkin’s office said that U-S and Virginia flags over all government buildings will be lowered from sunrise until sunset today.
The governor said the order is “in respect and memory of the victims, their families, and the Charlottesville community.”
It is the 20th half-staff order issued by Youngkin this year, and the fourth in the last six weeks.
