HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The City of Harrisonburg announced the dates and times for the August 4, 2026, Democratic and Republican Primaries.

In-person, early voting for Harrisonburg City voters will be at Harrisonburg City Hall, 409 South Main Street. Dates and hours listed below beginning Thursday, June 18, and ending Saturday, August 1.

  • Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (closed June 19, July 3)
  • Saturdays, July 25, and August 1, from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Sundays, July 19, and July 26, from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Mail in ballot drop off locations will be the same dates and times at the General Registrar’s office in City Hall 409 South Main Street. Drop boxes will also be available at all regular polling places on Election Day, August 4, from 6:00 am until 7:00 pm.

Election Day polling locations will be open on August 4, 2026, from 6:00 am until 7:00 pm at the following locations: Lucy Simms Continuing Education Center, Spotswood Elementary, Stone Spring Elementary, Smithland Elementary, JMU’s Godwin Hall, Waterman Elementary, Keister Elementary, and Thomas Harrison Middle School.
