HARRISONBURG, Va -After a two-month trial, a federal jury in Harrisonburg has returned guilty verdicts on all counts against the former Executive Director of the Front Royal-Warren County Economic Development Authority.

U-S Attorney Chris Kavanaugh made that announcement Wednesday afternoon on his social media page, saying that Jennifer McDonald abused the trust that was placed in her by the citizens and embezzled over five million dollars for her personal enrichment.

McDonald was convicted in U-S District Court of nearly three dozen counts of wire and bank fraud, money laundering and aggravated identity theft.

Prosecutors say she stole over five million dollars from the government agency for trips, paying off credit card debts and loans for family members as well as gambling debts.

She faces 20 years in prison when she is sentenced. A sentencing date was not announced.
