STAUNTON, VA (Rocktown Now) — A Staunton man was recently arrested and charged with over 1 dozen counts related child pornography.

Staunton Police Sergeant Christopher Ammons says that on Wednesday, May 6, 20-year-old Stephen D. Thompson was arrested for six counts of knowingly possessing and distributing child pornography.

Sergeant Ammons adds that on Tuesday, May 12, Thompson was charged with ten additional counts of knowingly possessing and distributing child pornography.

Thompson is being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.

Ammons says the investigation is ongoing.
