Flags are at half-staff again today across Virginia, this time to honor a fallen firefighter from the state’s southwest.

In a release, Governor Glenn Youngkin has ordered flags lowered at all federal, state and local buildings beginning at sunrise in memory of Cameron Craig, a 20-year-old firefighter from Abingdon who died last Thursday when his fire engine crashed.

The order will remain in effect through sunset tonight.

This is the 17th half-staff order issued in the commonwealth this year, and the fifth in the last two months.
