Governor Glenn Youngkin announced Friday an increase of just over 58-hundred more employed Virginians in September.
That now brings the total number to nearly 233-thousand more Virginians who have been employed since January of last year.
According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, the labor force in the commonwealth increased this month by over nine thousand to 4.6 million, which is the largest number of workers since counting began in 1976.
The governor said in a statement that Virginians continue to fill the good-paying jobs that are available across the Commonwealth and companies in Virginia are expanding and investing in local communities.
