HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Harrisonburg Planning Commission considered a request to convert the former “Gamer Oasis” building downtown into a tavern, arcade, and beer packaging location at last night’s meeting.

The special use permit would allow the applicant to convert the retail store on East Wolfe Street into a space where customers can eat, drink, and play games, while also allowing a small beer canning line associated with Restless Moons Brewing to be installed at the back of the building.

After determining that the proposal meets the area’s mixed-use designation, the Commission unanimously recommended the request for approval to the Harrisonburg City Council, which will meet May 12th.
