STAUNTON, VA (Rocktown Now) — A Staunton man was arrested on Wednesday for several counts relating to an alleged sexual assault.
Staunton Police Sergeant Chris Ammonds says 49-year-old James W. Cox III was arrested for two counts of forcible sodomy, one count of rape, five counts of indecent liberties, and two counts of aggravated sexual battery.
Ammonds says Cox was arrested with the assistance of the United States Marshals Capital Area Fugitive Task Force and is being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.
