Well it did not take the former superintendent of Rockingham County Public Schools long to find new work.

Dr. Oskar Scheikl was hired this week by Harrisonburg City Public Schools during this week’s school board meeting.

The school division’s technology director, Kevin Perkins, explains Dr. Scheikl will become the data systems coordinator.

Scheikl will begin with Harrisonburg City Public Schools on November 1st.

He retired as superintendent of Rockingham County Public Schools on June 30th after holding that position since 2017.
