HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — A Freeze Watch has been issued until Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 9:00 AM by the National Weather Service (NWS).

Portions of central, northern, and northeast Maryland, central, northern, and northeast Virginia, and the eastern panhandle of West Virginia will be affected.

Sub-freezing temperatures 25 to 31 degrees possible according to the NWS.

Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
