STAUNTON, VA (Rocktown Now) Staunton Police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place over the weekend. The incident happened at around one o’clock Sunday morning in the 200 block of Straith Street.

Officers arrived and found 38-year-old Rafael Johnson of Staunton dead at the scene.

Individuals involved in the incident were interviewed and released and added that there is no ongoing threat to the community.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call the Staunton Police Department.
