HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — UPDATE: (3/26/26 1:48 PM) HPD reports that the bull has been tranquilized by a veterinarian and will be taken home safely once he is fully asleep. HPD thanked the community staying inside and keeping them updated on sightings during the incident.
ORIGINAL STORY: (3/26/26 12:37 PM) The Harrisonburg Police Department (HPD) reported on their social media page a large police presence in the area of Mt. Clinton Pike and EMU as officers attempt to capture a bull that has escaped from the livestock auction.
HPD advises anyone who may come across the bull to not approach it or try to capture it yourself.
“These animals are large, quick, and can be very dangerous,” said HPD.
