AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Bridge maintenance and tree removal operations will slow traffic in Augusta County this week.

Brian Baer from the Virginia Department of Transportation says on I-81 between mile markers 228 and 229, watch for northbound and southbound single-lane closures Tuesday through Thursday from 8pm till 7am. Crews will be doing bridge maintenance.

Baer adds that there will be flagger traffic control along Route 252-Middlebrook Road between Route 694-Mount Tabor Road and Route 819-Bittersweet Lane in Augusta County, due to tree removal in the area.

The project will take place weekdays during daytime hours through Friday, April 3rd.
