PAGE COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — A man from Elkton was arrested Thursday on drug-related charges in Page County.

While stopping a vehicle in the town of Shenandoah for not having a State Inspection, Sheriff Chad Cubbage reports that a K9 with the Sheriff’s Office alerted deputies to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle.

When the driver, Cody Campbell, was asked to exit the vehicle, deputies discovered a baggie containing a substantial quantity of a crystal-like substance in his hand.

A subsequent search revealed three hypodermic needles and 28 grams of methamphetamine which Campbell admitted to deputies he intended to sell for profit.

He was then arrested on three charges including Possession with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Obstruction of Justice-Resisting Arrest. He is being held without bond at Page County Jail.
