Dozens of students were able to walk away after a pair of school buses collided in Augusta County Thursday.

The School Division reports the two Augusta County Public School buses were taking students home from Riverheads High School, Beverley Manor Middle School, and Riverheads Elementary School when one bus rear-ended the other.

Two students were transported to Augusta Health with non-life-threatening injuries. The remaining 60 students were screened and/or treated on the scene and released to their families or transported home by another bus.

Counselors and School Psychologists will be available to assist students and staff at all three schools today.
