ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — A Rockingham County school teacher is being recognized for inspiring the career path of Virginia’s next Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry.
Katie Frazier was involved in local 4-H and FFA as a teenager, which ultimately impacted her professional life.
It’s just a few days now until a native of Rockingham County is sworn in as Virginia’s next Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry. Katie Frazier, a native of Bridgewater, credits one of her teachers in Rockingham County for inspiring her career path.
“I credit my FFA advisor and high school AG teacher, Eric Fitzgerald, with really helping me to find my career path in agriculture,” said Frazier. “He challenged me to think about being an advocate for something that I truly cared about.”
Katie Frazier will succeed Matt Lohr, who is also a native of Rockingham County.
