LURAY, Va. — Two people were arrested yesterday in Page County after a violent incident led to the discovery of hard drugs.
According to Luray police chief Bow Cook, officers responded to the Cardinal Inn for reports of a fight in progress involving a gun. Cook said that Page County deputies and the Northwest Regional Drug Task Force provided backup.
An investigation turned up 52 grams of suspected meth, as well as M-D-M-A, packing materials and a firearm.


James Lee Smith III, of King George, was charged with abduction, strangulation and possession of narcotics with intent to distribute.
Tyler Marie Ennis, of Champlain, was also arrested on a possession charge.
