HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Harrisonburg Police Department (HPD), in coordination with community partners Faces 4 Change and the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Community Services Board, is set to participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day Saturday, October 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering the Harrisonburg community a safe, convenient, and anonymous way to dispose of unneeded prescription medications.
According to a release, HPD Officers will have collection boxes available in the parking lot of Valley Mall, located at 1925 E Market Street in Harrisonburg. Take Back Day aims to reduce the risk of prescription drug misuse by helping Americans safely remove expired, unwanted, or unused medications from their homes, medications that might otherwise be misused.
