WAYNESBORO, VA (Wayne Theatre) — This one-night-only performance will bring the signature sound of one of America’s most iconic big bands to the Historic Wayne Theatre in the heart of downtown Waynesboro.

Formed in 1938 by band leader Glenn Miller, the orchestra became a major force in popular music during the swing era. Following Miller’s disappearance in 1944 during his military service, the band’s legacy continued with the support of the Glenn Miller Estate.

Today, the Glenn Miller Orchestra performs under the direction of vocalist Nick Hilscher and features an 18-member ensemble committed to preserving Miller’s original arrangements. Their performances include classics such as “In the Mood,” “Moonlight Serenade,” and “Chattanooga Choo Choo,” as well as newer selections performed in the distinctive Glenn Miller style.

The performance will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 7:00 PM.
