ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Rockingham County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Larry Shifflett said during his comments during last night’s meeting that a meeting was held with bus drivers and administrators to create a discipline matrix for bus behavior. 

Dr. Shifflett said one of their goals is to make sure the buses are safe for students. 

“And that also for our drivers they know what the expectations are consistently across the division, and that students can learn those and be willing to follow those expectations,” said Dr. Shifflett.

He continued by praising bus drivers for their work after participating in a bus route and how this matrix is as important as it would be in a classroom.
