HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — James Madison University officials cut the ribbon on their newest residence hall on Friday.
Potomac Hall, which will have 458 beds, will house students beginning this semester.

JMU President Jim Schmidt, vice president for student affairs Tim Miller, assistance vice president for residence life Kathleen Campbell and Student Government Association President Charlotte Bronaugh were in attendance.
In May 2023, work began on a new Village residence hall to replace Ikenberry Hall, which was constructed in 1972. The university chose the new name based on feedback from numerous stakeholders, including students and staff.
Potomac Hall features many amenities, including study spaces for groups and individuals throughout the building, and laundry rooms.
