Virginia farmers and foresters are shipping their products to customers all over the world – but who’s buying?

Virginia forestry and farm products are popular on the global marketplace. Soybeans are being sold to China, chicken to Taiwan, and apples to Venezuela. That’s according to Virginia Sec. of Agriculture and Forestry Matt Lohr who says the ultimate beneficiaries are Virginia farmers and foresters.

Lohr says one of the biggest areas of growth in exports is in wood pellets, which are seen around the world as a renewable source of energy.
