The Northwest Virginia Regional Drug and Gang Task Force announced yesterday that nearly two million dollars’ worth of drugs were seized last year in an area that includes Shenandoah, Page, Clarke and Frederick counties.

Meth and fentanyl busts were responsible for over half of the 1-point-9-million-dollar haul.

The annual report shows that authorities confiscated over 15 pounds of methamphetamine with a street value around 650-thousand dollars, and nearly 6 pounds of fentanyl worth just under 450-thousand dollars.

Over 182-thousand dollars in opioids and hallucinogens were also seized.

191 people were arrested and charged with felonies.
