RICHMOND, Va – The Virginia Lottery released its report Monday morning on sports wagering activity for March.
During the month, Virginians wagered over 511 million dollars, which was nine percent higher than last March
Virginia bettors won more than 456 million.
A reminder that state law places a 15 percent tax on sports betting activity based on each permit holder’s adjusted gross revenue.
For March, that led to nearly seven and a half million dollars in tax payments for the month and another 185-thousand went to problem gambling treatment and Support Fund Allocation.
