As part of National Drug Takeback Day, the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is hosting its own Drug Takeback Collection this Saturday from 10-to-2 at the Lee Highway office.

In a release, Sheriff Donald Smith said there is also a permanent, secure drop box inside the lobby where folks can safely dispose of unused or unwanted prescription medications. He says this drop box is accessible 24 hours per day.

Meanwhile, another reminder that the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office is also planning a drug takeback day of its own this Saturday at Shenandoah Heritage Market during the same time frame.
