HARRISONBURG VA (Rocktown Now) — Local counties will host National Night Out events to meet responders, officers, firefighters, and to overall, connect with the community.

The schedules for National Night Out events are as follows:

Luray:

National Night Out is an event held nationwide that brings together law enforcement, first responders, and community organizations to showcase to citizens what they have to offer.  

This year’s event will be held on Tuesday, August 5th from 5-9pm at Ralph Dean Park. Event entry is free. There will be food trucks, exhibits and activities, and more.

Harrisonburg: 

Tuesday, August 5 will be Harrisonburg Police Department’s 30th year of hosting National Night Out.

HPD will participate in their usual convoy, making stops at Mosby Ct., Deer Run Apartment Complex, and VMRC, and new this year will be a stationary stop at the Ralph Sampson Park Spraygrounds from 6:30pm-8:30pm, where they will be cooking out for the community.

Harrisonburg Fire Department encourages the community to join them at a stop in your neighborhood or visit at the Spraygrounds. 

Central Shenandoah EMS: 

Monday, August 5 

6:00 PM – 8:00 PM 

Augusta County Government Center 

Come and meet your local first responders. Participate an evening of community, safety, and connection with law enforcement, EMS, and fire personnel. This is a family-friendly event.

Timberville: 

Fire engines, firefighters, and Hot Dogs  

Timberville Vol. Fire Department will be joining for National Night Out. Come out and meet the firefighters who serve the community, check out their equipment, and enjoy a hot dog. 

The event is Tuesday, August 5th | 5 – 7 pm
