HARRISONBURG, Va – Officials with Shenandoah Bicycle Company are assessing the damage to the building in downtown Harrisonburg as well as several bikes that were on display after a car crashed into it Friday morning.
City Communications Director Mike Parks reported that at around 9:45 am, a man got out of his Mazda 3 without putting it into park, which caused the car to roll down the hill and into the building on South Main Street.
Parks added that fortunately, the store was closed at the time and nobody was inside the building. No injuries were reported but Parks said significant damage was done to the facility as well as several bikes.
Parks said the driver will likely receive a citation.
