UNDATED – The Chesapeake Bay Trust is set to receive over one-million dollars from the federal government for bay improvement.

Maryland U-S Senator Chris Van Hollen made the announcement recently that more than one-point-one-million in funds from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act will go towards strengthening tidal wetland restoration, public education and bolstering green infrastructure projects.

Van Hollen stated in a news release that the health of the Chesapeake Bay is vital to the health of local communities and the regional economy.

The Chesapeake Bay Trust is a nonprofit grant-making organization with a mission is improving the watersheds of the Chesapeake Bay, including here in the valley.
