The tally has reached 20 for Virginia lawmakers who are calling it quits.

Fairfax County delegate Eileen Filler-Corn, a Democrat, announced yesterday (Tuesday) that she would not run for re-election next year. She was the first woman and Jewish person to become House of Delegates speaker, and is considering a gubernatorial run.

Democratic senator Lynwood Lewis, representing Norfolk, also announced his retirement at the end of the term, concluding a ten-year Senate stint and two decades in the General Assembly.
