HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — JMU Nuance Winterguard recently traveled to Dayton, Ohio to compete in WGI World Championships this past week April 1st – April 6th.

JMU Nuance Open wrapped up their 2025 season as WGI World Championships Independent Open Class Finalists, earning an incredible 5th place in the world with a score of 92.35. Along the way, they were awarded the title of IO Champions at both the WGI Richmond and Charlotte Regionals, earned 2nd place at the WGI East Power Regional, and secured the Gold medal as the Atlantic Indoor Association Independent Open Class Champions! JMU Nuance A had a standout season of their own, finishing as WGI World Championships Independent A Class Semi-Finalists! Ranked in the Top 16 in the world throughout the season, they took 1st place at the WGI Richmond Regional, 2nd place at the Charlotte Regional, were Finalists at the WGI East Power Regional, and claimed Gold in the Atlantic Indoor Association Independent A Class!
