HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) – Harrisonburg is calling residents to join in the Annual Blacks Run Clean Up Day and Arbor Day Tree Planting event.

On Saturday morning, April 12th, volunteers will gather cleanup materials at the “Green Scene” in the grassy lot beside Turner Pavilion before heading to the worksite.

Environmental experts from around the area, including Climate Action Alliance of The Valley, JMU Stormwater, and the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality will have informational booths onsite.

The City of Harrisonburg will offer participants chances to win prizes during cleanup, and a pizza lunch when the work is done.
