HARRISONBURG, VA (ROCKTOWN) – A trial date has been set for the Harrisonburg City Transit bus driver who was arrested last month on sexual abuse charges.

According to online records, a judge set a July 24th trial date for Howard Feldmeier of McGaheysville during a hearing Tuesday morning in Rockingham County Circuit Court.

The 69-year-old Feldmeier was arrested on January 21st after he was indicted by a grand jury on four felony charges, including two counts of aggravated sexual battery with a child under 13 years old.

Feldmeier was placed on administrative leave pending the conclusion of the case.

The trial is expected to last two days.
