HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Harrisonburg City School Board has a new Chair and Vice Chair.

The former Vice Chair, Emma Phillips found herself nominated for the top spot. She was unanimously voted in.

For Phillips’ first act as Chair, she oversaw the nomination and unanimous election of Tim Howley as Vice Chair.

Phillips is a 3-year-board veteran, while Howley was elected to the Harrisonburg City School Board just this past November.
