  • Current Status: As of 2:45 PM EDT Monday, the river stage was at 10.7 feet, which is 3.3 feet below flood stage.
  • Forecast: The river is anticipated to rise above flood stage late this evening, reaching a crest of 14.6 feet just after midnight tonight. It is expected to fall below flood stage by tomorrow evening.
  • Flood Stage: 14.0 feet.
  • Historical Context: This crest is comparable to the 14.0 feet crest recorded on March 29, 1984.

Impacts:

  • At 14.0 feet, water will cover yards and fields near the river southwest of Luray.
