FISHERSVILLE, VA (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Sheriff Donald Smith says K-9 teams were brought in and no evidence of an explosive material was found at Augusta Health’s main campus Friday evening. Parts of the hospital were evaluated after a bomb threat was received, according to hospital officials. In a statement released by the Augusta County Sheriff’s office, Smith says multiple agencies assisted in the search.
It has been determined that the call originated from out of state. The investigation is ongoing at this time”.

Following a thorough investigation and extensive safety checks, authorities have determined that there was no credible threat to the facility.
