
The Rockingham County man who was charged in a shooting in Waynesboro on Memorial Day weekend had his preliminary hearing this morning continued until next month.
The 16-year-old HHS student was arrested last night for threats against HHS and Wilson Memorial.

Harrisonburg City Public Schools Communications Coordinator Kelly Lineweaver confirmed the decision in an email to Harrisonburg High School and Rocktown High School parents, as well as news media, Monday evening.

The incident pertained to a school assignment that was submitted by a suspected 14-year-old Fort Valley boy.
According to a social media post from Page County Public Schools, the school is in lock-in out of an abundance of caution as the incident is contained to that area. There is no direct threat to LHS students or staff.

Tanner Allen Hartman had a hearing this morning in Rockingham County Circuit Court where a judge set a sentencing date of Jan. 13, according to online records.

According to a news release from the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were attempting to serve multiple arrest warrants on Christopher R. Hutchinson, 35, at an apartment complex in Fishersville on Thursday. Hutchinson jumped out a window and fled, crossing Jefferson Highway towards the Wilson complex.
